Women in Engineering and Computer Science
OPEN POSITIONS
Thank you for your interest in joining WECS. We are always looking to grow our team. We have positions available for all commitment levels, from a few hours every semester, to a few every week. Our goal as a team is to provide meaningful opportunities for all women and gender-non-conforming individuals studying engineering and computer science at UVIC.
Executive Board
Commitment Level: Depends on role, range from 2-10 hour

Academic Session Support
Commitment Level: Varies
These position will support the Academic Team during the weekly study hours and finals review sessions.

The study hour session will be held Thursdays 1-2:30, and is an opportunity for students to study in what ever way works for them. Some sessions may involve answering a lot of questions or giving advice to lower level students. Other sessions may be more relaxed and offer you some time to do your own work.
Final review sessions are held at the end of the year, preferably each session is held 2-3 days before the final exam for that class. We will need session leaders and supporter. Leaders will be asked to provide answers to a few higher-difficulty questions, and to review our study packages to ensure they are prepared to lead a review session. Supporters will be asked to review of study package.
